I have lots of hobbies. My two favorite activities are karate and dance.
Karate- i started karate when i was about 6 years old. so i have been doing it for 10 years. Its something that i think ill still be doing untill im old crippled and 90 years old. Karate is something that i have grown attached to as i have done it for more than half of my life. Karate is demanding and is a very physical sport. But i love it because it helps me stay fit and healthy. Karate is also a stress reducer in my life. It takes my mind off of all the things im feeling stressed or worried. I also made a lot of super huge super close circle of friends by going to karate. There are many parts to karate. there is the basic self defense where we do like knife defenses and gun defenses. then there is form which is a pretend fight which u perform by yourself. The my favorite (and tors fgavorite part too) sparring. Sparring isvery fun. You pad up and then you fight other people. Its really great. Me and tor sparr a lot since we go to the same school and are black belts. Except tor is first degree black while im a second degree!!! By the way tor my roundkicks to the heaqd are just fine. Round kicks arent supposed to stop people. Side kicks do.
Anyways my other favorite hobby is dancing. I learn indian traditional dance called bharatanatyam. Its ok if you cant say it. I learn it from my mom. My mom originally learned dance in india and she is now teaching my sister and other people. We hold practices in out basement. And whenever the indian community holds a program we all dance on stage. Dance is really important to me because It makes me feel connected to india and all my other family memeber there. Its also very good excercize.
